Not quite corporal punishment
We all know that kids can be a little messy, especially when it comes to their bedrooms. But when you were a kid, did your dad ever move the entire contents of your bedroom out on to the driveway as punishment for not keeping it clean and tidy? Sounds absurd doesn’t it, but it’s just what one frustrated father did in the US when his otherwise perfect daughter failed to keep on top of the mess in her bedroom.
The soldier dad placed his daughter’s bed, desk, chair, bookcase and other items in the middle of the family’s driveway whilst she was at school. He had previously threatened to treat her like a soldier if she didn’t clean her room. That’s proper military style!
