New Pattern Imprinted Concrete Driveway in Cheadle Stockport

A Problematic Driveway – No Problem for Planet Surfacing!!

The majority of new driveways and patios that we install are quite straight forward and simple. However, there are always exceptions and a recent project we completed of a new pattern imprinted concrete driveway in Cheadle, Stockport was one of them! As we started to prepare the area at the front and side of the house and were excavating the existing driveway, we came across a manhole that had been paved over by the previous owner – bad idea! A manhole cover could potentially lead to a public sewer so it should always be easily accessible, however it doesn’t have to be an unsightly eye saw spoiling the look of your driveway or patio. Using pattern imprinted concrete, the lid can be covered in the same pattern and colour to ensure it merges with the rest of the surface. In this instance we uncovered the manhole cover, ensuring it was accessible and disguised the lid. You can see from some of the photographs how discreet it was.

We added some gravel along the sides of the driveway which was a nice contrast and created definition. To finish off the driveway we covered the surface in a mid-sheen seal with anti-slip agent. You can see from the photographs this was a neat and tidy driveway, the pattern and colour giving a sleek, contemporary look, perfect for the more modern property.
